a simple daisy

I honestly can't remember what made me interested in learning how to do stained glass.  I can't even remember exactly how old I was -- early 20s maybe?? I do know that I had asked for the class as a birthday present from my parents. I must have been at an age where stuff was starting not to matter and experiences were more important.  The class was fabulous. I designed my own panel and constructed it with lead came.  It was pretty legit.  I thought it would be my new hobby. I bought all the supplies - glass, soldering iron, copper foil, glass cutter, etc.  That Christmas I made some really crappy angels with the Tiffany copper foil method for my mom who collected angel ornaments.  They were really bad and it was WAY harder to do and not nearly as much fun as I had in the class making the window. So everything got packed up in a box and shoved in the corner of my closet. Time went by, I got married, built a house and made sure there was a perfect spot for my fabulous window.
